Li Zhiguang, an independent designer who grew up in the water towns of Jiangnan, spent seven years studying and exploring in Italy, the design capital. From the world to the East, he uses an international perspective to examine contemporary home design, reflecting on and practicing the internationalization of Eastern culture, allowing design to transcend national boundaries and integrate East and West. His Huayi Space “Folding Screen” sofa, borrowing the image of a Chinese folding screen, expresses the connotations of traditional cultural objects in the form of a bed headboard, making the furniture more recognizable as an Eastern symbol, adapting to the needs of modern minimalist Eastern spaces.
